INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY:
I am humbled and at awe of anyone who considers embarking on the journey of individual psychotherapy and embracing the process of continuous growth and self-discovery. Everyone is a work in progress and my goal is to make space for what is emerging for you next. Session after session I invite opportunities for being present with your pain, open and vulnerable so your deepest thoughts and feelings are no longer threatening. As this work unfolds, you can expect starting to pay a different kind of attention to yourself, foster self-warmth, widen your range of emotional responses, befriend your difficult emotions, challenge old scripts and patterns and, as a result, to make bold steps in the direction you want to move to. In each session, my priority is to make you feel safe to speak your truth—the depth of what could be explored in therapy is endless. As I help my patients talk, I make sure to discover your way of being open with yourself and speak meaningfully each time.
THERAPEUTIC APPROACH:
Drawing from my extensive training from three postgraduate psychotherapy institutes, I've developed my own unique blend of modern psychoanalytic, relational and systemic psychotherapy approaches. In addition to this, I frequently use mindfulness and body-centered techniques. Central to my practice is a focus on human relationships, particularly the connections between past relational experiences and present pain you might bringing into therapy with me. I tend to listen to the language of the unconscious attentively and tend to make room for humor and lightness around heavier emotional load in each therapy sessions. Through our work together, you can expect finding new insights, have corrective emotional experiences, find new holding space for old feelings, explore new resources and practice new ways of relating with the world.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Our journey typically begins with a four-session assessment phase, allowing us to explore your concerns, goals, and the dynamics of our therapeutic relationship. As we transition into the therapy process, you'll find that no topic is off-limits in our sessions. Whether you bring up free associations or carefully prepared topics, my role is to facilitate progressive dialogue, tailored to your unique needs and communication style.
WELCOMING THE UNWANTED:
I approach therapy with an open and accepting stance, acknowledging the full spectrum of emotional experiences that may arise, including avoidance, shame, anger, hopelessness or self-hatred. These difficult feelings are welcomed as integral parts of the healing process. Through acceptance and understanding, we can listen to different parts of you with compassion and be tuned in to genuine growth and transformation.

The therapeutic relationship serves as a cornerstone of our work together, providing a nurturing environment for growth and healing. I am attuned to the relational dynamics between us, using them as a roadmap for exploration and understanding of the past. Together, we'll navigate past and present dynamics, forging new connections between your inner child and informed inner adult, facilitating the fulfillment of unmet needs and fostering healthier relationships.
